IMG: Cardinal.
Tuesday, January 23, 2007. Royal Botanical Gardens, Burlington, ON.
We were at the RBG today for a nature programme. As the class was getting underway, I was taking photos of the birds and squirrels at the feeders. After the class, we went on a hike IN THE SNOW!! Yay! I love snow :)

IMG: WarHammer 40k Mega Battle.
Monday, January 22, 2007. The Bunker, Oakville, ON.
Someone organised this WarHammer 40,000 Mega Battle for a group of homeschoolers. Of course, I signed Jordan up without even asking him. He was SO excited about this thing. He couldn’t wait. He was not disappointed. He was flying by the end :)
I was most interested in the fact that 10 boys, aged 8 to maybe 17, stood together and still for two hours playing this game. They concentrated and strategized. There was no arguing, name calling, shoving… Wha?!! Boys can DO that?! I had no idea! hehhehe :) After the game, they all sat still and painted figures. So much sitting still! Amazing! ;)

IMG: Minnie Mouse Mug.
Sunday, January 21, 2007.
This is “my” mug. It has been “my” mug for more than 10 years. I got it at Disney Land in California. Minnie doesn’t look so good, does she? It’s actually huge – it holds 3 cups. Every day, I drink three Minnie Mouse Mugsful of herbal tea. Most often, it’s peppermint, but sometimes, when I feel like going wild, I might have raspberry leaf tea. I know, I know… crazy.

Jordan’s team played in Brampton tonight. He had a rough game, but is already looking forward the next one. :)

IMG: Slippers.
Friday, January 19, 2007.
This is Slippers. I love his golden eyes. He sleeps with me every night, right up against my legs. And during the day, he sleeps on the footstool in front of “my” chair. He is the purrfect companion. :)

IMG: Mask.
Thursday, January 18, 2007. Burlington.
Before I knew Mark, he lived in Indonesia for a year. Until a few years ago, he still travelled regularly to Asia. As a result, our house is decorated laregly with art work from Indonesia and Thailand. He has a special fondness for masks and in the family room alone, there are four of them.

The Project:

Can I do it?
Some of my online friends are doing 365 PAD Challenge – one photo per day for an entire year. I’m going to give it a go as well. The goal is to take a photo each day for the challenge. I take photos most days anyway, but this adds an element of discipline to it all. I began on January 6, 2007.
