This web ring is for people who educate their children at home and blog or journal about it online. The common theme is home-based education; we don’t care what you call it or how you do it. This ring is so we can find each other more easily.
This is a popular ring with over 140 active, diverse members. Some members have been homeschooling for years and some are just getting started. We’ve got it all :)
The rules are simple:
- you must homeschool
- you must have a blog
- the url you list when you join must be the url of your blog or online journal
- the ring code must be on your blog page.
Joining is easy – just go to the sign-up page here and fill in your info. Then, paste the hmtl code that ring surf gives you into your blog. It can be at the top, in the sidebar, wherever, but it must go on your main blog page. And then… wait. You won’t be in the ring right away as every applicant has to be verified (i.e. blog meets the requirements above, code is present and correct…), before I move it into the ring. I usually do this every 2 weeks or so, so don’t worry – I’m getting to it :) If you want to get all fancy and use one of our logos, then please do! No hotlinking!! Save the logo to your own server and then have it link back to this info page so that newcomers can find it.
That’s it! :)

Logos are from Andrea of Atypical Life. Thank you! and may ONLY be used to link back to this webring page.

I’m sorry…I can’t figure out how to do this…I want one of the pictures because I keep getting all these symbols instead. How do I use the picture. I am thick, so the instructions above didn’t help!

To use the picture, you need to host it yourself, just as you do other photos on your blog that you upload. On my Mac, I just drag it to my desktop. I think PC users can right-click and “save as.”
Then you upload your copy of the photo and link to the address of that photo.
The website http://www.w3schools.com has nice tutorials on coding this stuff, under HTML Links and HTML Images. Hope that helps.
I’m a homeschooling mom of three littles. I’ve kept a regular blog about our unit studies and what-not for a whle now. Please consider me for the Webring.
I would love to join! I added the link tonight…

Hi. I applied to be included in the ring, but my status has remained “in queue” for some time now. I’m just doing a follow-up. I’m afraid you didn’t receive the application or perhaps I did something wrong. Thanks. :)
