IMG: Close up of stitches in the Coat of many Colours

The knitting is moving quickly on this project. Most of the knitting is done and currently, the pieces are blocking in the dining room. These are not colours that I would normally choose, but I’m trying both to think of the recipient with more clarity and to conciously move out of my own comfort zone. Who says you can’t find personal growth in knitting? ;) ‘Not my colours’ notwithstanding, I keep finding myself spreading the work over my lap and admiring the colours and the effect across the fabric. Perhaps there is a lot more to my personal pallet than I thought :)
As I knit, I’m finding comfort. I hope it offers the same to the recipient.

IMG: Throat of an Easter Lily

This Easter Lily is in my lving room. There are only two flowers open on it, yet the scent wafts through the entire first floor of the house. It is FABulous. I visit it several times a day for a closer sniff and to admire the petals, which manage to be sturdy and delicate and beautiful all at once.
The scent means that It Is Easter. And that means It Is Spring. And even though Winter arrived so late this year, it is a welcome relief.
